This lock is really handy when you need to prioritize saving space but it’s a bit of a pain to operate. It’s a challenge to wriggle your finger to shake lose the chain when you unroll it and it’s a pain to roll it back up – I need to apply a little force to roll it up properly. You can also not lock it properly by mistake and not realize it. I wouldn’t recommend.

This is perfect for my bike as I have a step-through model and didn’t want it on the stem. I love always having a lock with me but don’t always have a basket or backpack along. This is perfect because it sits below the seat, compact and quiet.

But good. It is a heavy duty feeling item. There is enough length to lock the back tire with the frame to a pole unlike other folding locks that can only get the frame.I like it so far.

Nice and compact, but unfortunately no match for a pair of bolt cutters — as I just found out when I came out of my dentist appointment and found the lock cut and my bike gone. 🙁 This happened in broad daylight in a residential area and given how clean the cut is, I doubt it took them more than a few seconds to go through it. So, although I liked the lock otherwise, I cannot recommend it to anyone who actually wants to secure their bike in any serious sense.

Certainly not as secure as a foldy lock but still pretty good. I didn’t like the included Velcro strap so I used zip ties instead.To be clear, this is what you should use to substitute your cable lock that secures your wheel to the frame. Or a convenient lock for a quick stop in a populated area. Never use this as your primary or long term lock For your bike frame. Go buy a U-lock for that.

I ordered three of these the first time two of the mounting cases were broken. I thought how good is a lock when you lose it halfway through your ride. So I returned them but I gave them a second chance. Been on some pretty bouncy off road rides and it has held on so far. I also think where it is mounted on my bike helps. All in all I think for the price it’s pretty good.

The good: Nice form factor makes it easy to always have a lock with you for quick they deterrence. Easy into mount to both water bottle cage screws or any tube using the straps. Seems sturdy.The bad: wish it was just a bit longer. The lock can be a little awkward to position when securing.

The only downside to this lock is the width is a bit bulky on the bike. Otherwise, it works fine and is easy to fold up and put away.

I had to return the first one because the instructions didn’t say to put the secure piece that wraps around your bike seat pole (what prevents the lock from falling off when you’re riding ) up and not down. Mine fell off twice on my first ride and the second time it broke so make sure you have the clip that prevents it from falling off up and not down. I returned the first one and got a second one and it works great.

I use that lock as an additional deterrent for my motorcycle. It is not long enough to tie the the tire or frame to a post, but it can be used to block the front or reach wheel. I like it because it is straightforward to use!

The lock was perfect. It works as described. All of my friends like it because it looks so cool since it is fold-able and heavy.However, it seemed that some accessories were missing because the wires cannot hold the lock holder at fix position so I needed additional staples to hold it in place.

Just got this lock for my Mongoose mountain bike and am plenty satisfied with the weight of it and how compact it is. We’re using one for 2 bikes and it works great. Comes with a simple instructions page and pictures.

Terrible. I put it the lock onto my bike like it shows in the picture. And the very first ride I have it on, the clip holding the lock snaps, the lock falls into my back tire well and bends the lock. Now I’m sure the lock works well, however now I don’t even want to test it with it being bent.

Someone tried to steal my bike yesterday, I got off my train and when I went unlock it, the chain was all beat up. They tried to break it open but were unsuccessful thankfully. However they did enough damage that I need a new chain.

I like the lock it looks like it would be harder to steal a bike. I wish it fit on my bicycle. It’s either the lock or water bottle. I have a specialized med frame. It did not fit on my frame. It broke the first time I dropped it. Maybe not such a good lock

This lock can be easily cut and will only stop honest people from stealing your bike, however, I put this lock on only when I have my bike within eyesight. It will stop the amateur from stealing your bike.

The concept is a good one, but practically it can be hard to use. Being that it is made of solid links it cannot be wrapped around a variety of poles and staffs that one may otherwise use when locking a bike in a public place in the city. It also takes a long time to wrap around the stem when stowing away. Not fun in the cold of NYC winters.The first one fell and the plastic end cap cracked off. The end caps are needed to properly roll it up and stow in the provided carrier. The company replaced the product free the next day for free. That was a good thing. But now the secind fell and the end cap popped off. I was able to replace it, but am nervous that it will come off again.
