    Great Buy

    I bought this for my boyfriend’s birthday. He is always going through disposable lighters. He LOVES this lighter. It is very sporty looking and is comfortable to keep in his pocket. I got it in red, and it looks great. It recharges very quickly. He is so happy with how easily it lights in any wind or rainy weather. Love the price! A great gift doesn’t always have to be expensive. And so cool that it runs on the coil!

    Only one shortcoming.

    Works as expected and does a pretty good job. The only problem is the plasma Arc is very close to the body of the lighter which limits its use.

    This is a very cool lighter. It does not have a flame or require lighter fluid, ( that alone is worth a lot ). It has an arc that produces heat.

    Nothing and I mean nothing can put the ARC OUT!!!!!!!

    Oh man I really, really, really LOVE this lighter, it looks cool and very rugged…. I haven’t tested the waterproofing yet for obvious reasons but I can tell you this much nothing puts the arc out not even driving 75mph on the interstate and sticking it out of the window lol.

    How does it light cigars ?

    How do you light a cigar with this thing? That’s why I purchased the lighter, the term cigar lighter was in the description, however, I couldn’t figure how it would light a cigar !

    Instructions could be in English and the USB cord needs to be longer but it works. If you understand things you can figure it out without real instructions.

    A very cool lighter, the only arc lighter I could find that is waterproof which makes this perfect for backpacking, kayaking, or camping.

    It’s a really small ignition point…. would work as long as it’s charged… would be tough to light a cigarette or cigar with IMO.

    It is not really waterproof. The outer case looks cheap. I wish the upper cover be opened more widely and the size of the lighter be smaller than it is.

    Great for the outdoors, just not great for lighting sparklers with a steel rod!

    Great for the outdoors as it is wind resistant. Just will shock user if they are lighting a sparkler that has a steel rod on it.

    Stops working after a week

    I used this primarily for cigars – charged it up upon receiving it, worked great for about a week. Noticed it didn’t fair too well in cold weather, but other than that, no complaints…until I went to go charge it again for about 30 minutes, and then all of a sudden, it stopped working. Tried numerous chargers, tried charging it for longer – the charge light does come on, but nothing. Absolutely useless item. Will be returning

    I found have just a few uses that when it was charged it would shock you when you tried to strick it. I gave it a two because it looked good, and before I recharged it it worked good. I don’t that makes it a good buy!

    Won’t light anything thicker than a pencil lead.

    I bought this for emergency situations and camping. Obviously, I want to be able to start a fire. I’m just a big child so when I got it, I pretty much immediately started trying to light things. It will light paper, thin cardboard, maybe a wick. Anything bigger (a piece of wood twice the size of a pencil lead, an undamaged strip of cardboard) it scorches it, maybe gets it to burn while still in the plasma beams, but does not really ignite it. It’s pretty much useless for my purpose.A $1 Bic would be more useful.

    Outstanding lighter. But… if you have dogs…My dogs go ballistic when this lighter is activated. Must be a sound frequency that they hear.

    This lighter does exactly what it says it will do

    This lighter does exactly what it says it will do. I stood outside in 30mph winds and it lit and stayed lit. I also tested it in the rain and it worked great.

    I feel these are just as good as the higher-end ones you see. It is sturdy, lights well, and waterproof.

    Good for a survival bag

    Makes fire. You need to put your hands very close to whatever you are trying to light with this. I prefer the longer version of these. USB charger works great. Battery lasts a long time. It’s the size of an old zippo lighter but I doubt you could easily light a cancer stick with this. This lighter would be better suited for your bugout bag, or when you need to light some kindling while camping. Barely recommended.

    It arcs and it shines light, but it’s construction leaves a lot to be desired. Not a good value.Also, there is no way that you’d be able to properly light a cigar.

    This thing is neat!

    I love this little guy. It’s cool looking and it does the trick. I like that it’s rechargeable but would obviously not work if there were power outages or there isn’t electricity to recharge it. But it’s useful up until then!

    I bought this for my love that smokes. He can never hold on to a lighter. He can hold on to this. This is the cutest lighter ever and the charge lasts for a long time. It hooked to his keys and is secure. It’s great!

    Package damaged

    To the best of my knowledge the lighter works great. Display box crushed and lighter scratched, shipping box was good. Needed for gift this weekend so didn’t have time to get replacement. Very disappointed. Item should have not been shipped in this condition
