This is a wonderful bag for the student and / or commuter. The straps give ample support when you have to carry books or a laptop. I did not feel like I was being weighted down when I wore the backpack. This is also a nice bag to use on a day out on a tour, theme park or even a hike. Just love the versatility. It is well made and the stitching is tight. Plenty of space for all your needs and many pocket inserts.

ITS HUGE!!!! i was fully packed for a long weekend trip and still had a ton of room in it. So many pockets and zippers, and places to clip and tie items and bundles to. This was a great purchase.

I actually bought 3 different backpacks and returned 2 of them. I kept this one as it looked and felt after trying the best. Over my travels (extensive and rigorous) it has held up superb and this is actually the first time I’m writing a review on any product I bought. That’s how happy I am with this. Yes, it’s not an expensive backpack and it might be thinking “oh what if I buy an Osprey, etc etc”. Well, this one does the job, is insanely durable as I found out and it’s worth every penny.recommend.

I chose this because of the color (purple) and it not only looks great but is perfect for hiking and camping vacations. It is lightweight and has lots of pockets, including a place where you can secure your hiking poles. There’s even a yellow cover that’s stored in the bottom of the backpack to protect it from rain. The only thing I would have liked to see was a thicker pad protector for my laptop – my other backpack had a thick pocket but this one is thin by comparison. Otherwise this is a good choice for when you go camping.

Bought this for my wife based on reviews. You can not go wrong. This is an amazing hiking bag. We hiked 11.5 miles in the Smokey Mountains (Ramsey Cascades) with rain every now and then. It definitely stood up to all elements. Note: it is water resistant not water proof so there is a yellow cover that can be placed over it (bright Yellow) for heavy rain. The cover is on the bottom in the backpack. Plenty of room for water bladder, snacks, and first aid kits.

Spacious but the velcro for the strap constantly detaches in the bottom.

It’s a pretty good backpack the shoulder straps need to be adjusted anything over 30 lb on the 85+15 pack is gonna b rough on the shoulders i love everything else about it but at 145$ its over priced iv had mine for 4 years and still going strong at about 200 miles of hiking the only reason its not 5 star is cause of the shoulder straps

Item was supposed to be new. It is not. There is dirt in it. No packaging or tags. I found a USB charger and a cloth bag in it. Will be returning this item.

Product was just as described. I have used it in the rain a few times as i live in Oregon. Rain fly is perfect.

While I don’t do hiking, I do ride my bike often. The thing I like about this backpack is how lightweight it is. It doesn’t add extra weight, but seems to hold everything I need safely. It’s comfortable and has so many pockets! It expands out, so don’t let the size fool you.

Really love this pack. Just took it for a week of hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountain National Park and it held up great. Very well made. Zippers, straps, and buckles are all strong. A very durable pack with a nice design. 👍

Worked great for a 10 day tripIn Utah.

I like that there are two large main zip compartments, and each one has smaller compartments. And, there is a zip compartment on the front, as well. There are also a lot of bungees to attach things, and two small net bags outside for your wet socks, etc. You can add a hydration blader, if you want, which is also useful, especially if you’re concerned about the use of disposable water bottles, like I am. It’s a good pack and seems sturdy. I’ll update when I see how the seams and zippers hold up.

I found this to be very comfortable for a day hike. I didn’t load it down so can’t comment on that, but I did have enough in there to feel the pull of it. The straps didn’t dig into my shoulders (thank you Gods!) That’s a big one for me.I’m a large-framed woman. This pack rested well in the middle of my back. I wasn’t tired from wearing it. It held what I needed like a water bottle, an extra shirt, sunscreen, keys, and wallet.I liked it.

I can’t wait to take this on my next summer trip to Italy. It strikes me as the perfect bag to use as a daypack on a hot summer day. Sufficient padding to use as a carryon laptop bag. Really nice “ventilation “ on my back. Love the purple color. Comes with its own hidden poncho. Netting to carry a sweater or a bag of groceries.

It’s a little bigger than I expected it to be, but works great.

Use it for 3.5 mile winter hike. It fit everything well. All the straps are ultra easy to adjust. The rain cover worked great too. It is a great product.

Pretty big pack.LOTS of room. Belt is comfortable (I’m Husky). Not too sure about build quality. Maybe because it’s rip-stop it feels flimsy, but time will tell.I use this as a go-bag in my car. I have quite a commute, so if something happens, I have enough gear to last a week (hopefully it won’t take longer than that to walk the 35 miles back home from work).

I took this bag for a week of hard abuse through airports, beaches, mountains and waterfalls. It looks as new. It is not only built to last but it is also built to be comfortable. Obviously a lot of knowledge was used to design this backpack. The one thing I wished is that it included a detail booklet of all the features, why are they for and how to use them.

Exactly what we needed for our trip. Great size for me. I love it.

I climb mountains and I’ve hated most backpacks that I’ve used. I really like this one. It’s comfortable, large enough to carry everything I need, lightweight. The only thing I didn’t like is I can’t reach outer pockets while it’s on my back. That’s where I have the water bottles and I have to have someone else get them for me or I have to takeoff the backpack. This is the only one that has had a place to put a water bottle so maybe all backpacks are like that I don’t know. I do recommend this it’s great!

Just bought this for a 7 day hike in the sierra Nevadas. Worked pretty well. I wish the netting on the sides was bigger so I could put a nalgene into it, which you can’t. I had about 40lbs in it all the time and I think it held up just as good as a $300 rei bag. No rips tears or zipper issues.

Fits great and looks to be of good quality. Everything about design is nice but all the lashing straps and mesh side pockets are either too short or small. I can barely lash a sleeping pad to the bottom with the straps and the side mesh pockets won’t fit a Celebes water bottle.

Great hip belt support. Top quality materials.

Awesome backpack very well made but if it’s coming from China I would like to see more packing then just a plastic bag

This backpack isn’t huge, but it’s big enough for a water bladder and stuff as well. I’m very new to water bladder technology, but I’m an expert on backpacks. This one is a favorite! The net would hold a sleeping bag, and the many pockets hold an awful lot of stuff. Most highly recommended.

I have to admit, that I was a little leary of not knowing who or what Terra Peak brand was about. I got this pack, after an exhaustive search and research for what I want in a pack. I was looking for a large(er) capacity, but still keep the pack light. Hit the trail this last weekend…4000 ft of elevation gain with a total pack weight of 32 lbs. This pack performed beautifully. I am impressed with how everything I need sits in the pack. I really like the belt tightening mechanism…really nice and easy to adjust. The pack sat great on my back going both up and down the mountain. So far, I’d definitely recommend this pack. Looking forward to more trips in the near future with it.

Love this pack. Great color, good straps and great interior space. It lies flat for easy storage, holds a ton and it pretty dang light. It is sturdy so it’s not like a purse kind of pack, it is for a day hike or short camping trip ‘extras’ pack. I like it for my 10 yr old to be able to carry a load in while I have a full pack and tent.I highly recommend this pack.
Luke –
Pack works good but i tore the top handle the first day with it. I had about 90 pounds in it.

This is a fantastic technical day pack. I do a decent amount of (short) hikes, walks, bike rides, etc. I usually grab one of my daughters old school backpacks which are mainly meant for carrying books and lunch. I’m thrilled to finally have a real sporty well designed pack like this one from Terra Peak. It is quite adjustable. It is super generous with pockets, hooks, bungees, etc. I love the purple fabric. It is very supportive and comfortable, just as stiff as it needs to be. This would also be a great carry-on or even an overnight bag.

This bag was everything that I needed for backpacking for 2 weeks in Thailand. A vast quantity of side pockets and space to hold all of my belongings while staying easily accessible. We got rained on twice and no water made it into the bag. Best bag for the price!

This is a decent pack but if you are doing serious backpacking I would recommend spending a bit more to get a name brand from REI or something. After a 15 day backpacking trip mine is already starting to fall apart. Also, the pricier packs keep their shape better and are not as baggy which means the the pack doesn’t shift so much while hiking.

Backpacked Europe for 9 weeks with 45 pounds total gear in it. The bottom sleeping bag strap gave, but besides that it held up perfectly.

A decent cheap pack. Osprey is the Rolls Royce. This is a decent Kia.

Bought it for backpacking around Europe and worked great. Got thrown around on flights, trains, and buses and nothing broke. Plenty of room if you pack right and pretty comfortable also.
